BA in Theatre, Directing
Phillip H. Lewis is a Theatre directing Major and American Sign Language Studies minor at Columbia College in Chicago. He began based in playwriting, yet expanded to directing and other major aspects of the theatre while attending Columbia. Since his first interest in acting he has performed in various plays including Godspell, The Wiz, West Side Story, and Macbeth on the stage of The Storefront Theatre, Chicago Academy for the Arts, Second City, and other leading venues throughout Chicago. His acting experience combined with American Sign Language has created a special interest in developing theatre opportunities for the deaf community. It is his desire to bring these two extremely different worlds into one outstanding expression of talent and the arts.
